the sports menace

the sports menace...is ME!

oh no! whenever i feel for some sports event and really hope that they will win...they will end up losing. still remember very vividly during the olympics period when singapore got into the finals for table tennis and eventually was in a match with korea i think to fight for the bronze medal. singapore was on a winning streak...UNTIL I CAME OUT OF MY ROOM into the living room to watch the match as i was reading in my room. after which, it was disastrous and korea seem to pick up speed and momentum and trashing our singapore player flat. after that, i went off to the toilet to bath...and when i came out i realised that singapore is catching up AGAIN. is this coincidence or what? maybe i watched the match for too long and it became really difficult for singapore to catch up given the SHORT period while i was not in front of the television watching the match.

today, my class was supposed to go down to toa pah yo stadium to support the table tennis boys team who was having a match against RJC. i went in and was partically shocked by the RAFFLE-ISH stadium. raffles banners were everywhere, with a REALLY HUGE ONE AT THE LOCATION WHERE WE WERE SITTING. and their cheers were REALLY OVERWHELMING like some sound surround system combining the powers of the high shrills from RGS and the RAAA RAAAA RAAAAAAA RAAAA RAFFLES RJC.

so basically our cheers were like really soft compare to the raffles family. and the st nicholas' girls cheered REALLY LOUDLY although there were not alot of supporters present. so i propose that maybe my school should hold auditions for SPORTS SUPPORTERS who would go down to cheer for all the sporting events LOL. they could organise a CHEER IDOL (since my school like to organise "idol" competitions so much, there is even ECONOMICS IDOL! LOL) competition and test contestants on their rhythmic and loudness of their cheer. individuals who have meet the criteria of cheering with a sense of rhythm and with A MINIMUM DECIBEL would make it into the SPORTS SUPPORTERS TEAM LOL. they would get to pon lessons ALOT during the sports season HAHA! (:

nevertheless everyone was screaming at the top of their voice and the match was really tense, with my school losing just a few points to RJC for every round. i think lady luck is not at the table tennis team's side today (POSSIBLY BECAUSE OF MY PRESENCE THERE SUPPORTING), we were always SO CLOSE to reaching the game point, but always lose at the last important minute. however, well done to the table tennis team anyway for clinching second! (:

seem to be a fun-filled long weekend ahead of me. with the artemis outing, taekwondo club bonding outing (not sure if i wanna go) and strings concert (high percentage of uncertainty whether i should go for this or just save the money since i have been spending so much nowadays).

BLEAH! why am i such a sports menace!!!

HAHA. i think it's cos i din go for the TT match tt's why our sch won. what raffle-ish LOL. the other time the polo match we lost cos i went to watch.. and of all our sch cheers the RA RA RAAA RAFFLES is one of the rare few i know HAHA.
